We are currently seeking experienced Refuse Vehicle Engineers to join our growing team. As a Refuse Vehicle Engineer, you will play a critical role in servicing our clients' vehicles, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of refuse vehicles, including troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. This is a Contract-to-Permanent Job role but we do have other openings for freelance contractors and temp to permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of refuse vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components and parts.
  • Collaborate with the team to address complex technical challenges.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and parts used.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Refuse Vehicle Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of refuse vehicle mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
